St. Stephen's Annual Grandparent/Grandfriend's Day
Grandparents and Special Friends Day was a huge success. Over 80 guests joined us a fun filled morning. After a coffee reception, everyone gathered for chapel.
During the lesson, Mr. Brown read a story from Chicken Soup for the Children’s Soul about a special relationship between a grandson and grandfather who took time to care for others. Then everyone was off to classrooms for activities.
Everyone was then entertained by Masankho Banda. A former political refugee from Malawi, Africa, Masankho received an Unsung Hero of Compassion Award from His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 2001. He entertained everyone with his mix of traditional African music, dance and storytelling.
