PRESCHOOL
Parents are required to purchase one St. Stephen’s preschool tee shirt from Merry Mart for use on field trips. Other than the field trip tee shirt, there are no specific dress code requirements for preschool students. However, it is recommended that clothing be free of complicated fastenings to facilitate restroom time. Sturdy, washable, comfortable clothing that will withstand outdoor play, messy art projects, and eating snacks is recommended. Sandals, other open toed shoes, heels, and wedges are not safe for playground activities and are not advised. Socks must be worn at all times.
K-8 STUDENTS
In order to facilitate a quality-learning environment at St. Stephen's School uniforms are to be worn by students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Uniforms help students academically and socially by reminding them of the importance of their school day and removing the distractions that some clothing may cause.
The approved locations for purchasing uniforms are: Lands’ End School Uniforms Catalog, Merry Mart or from another source if they meet the guidelines below. Following are the approved uniform styles. If you have any questions regarding the selected clothing styles, please contact the office. Lands’ End school uniform catalogs and fabric samples are available.
