Head of School
Mr. Brown was appointed Head of School in July 2006, serving as the third Head of School in the School’s history. Mr. Brown brings a wealth of experience, enthusiasm, and commitment to assisting children in their academic, social and emotional development and readiness for their next stage of schooling. He discovered his passion for working with children while at Stanford when volunteering in a variety of children’s programs. In his 24 years of school experience primarily at independent schools, he has worked in all facets of school life- history teacher, coach, activity advisor, Athletic Director, and Dean of Students. Most recently he served for eleven years as Head of School at St. Michael’s Parish Day School, a K-8 school of 360 students. Serving on the Board of the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools for seven years has enriched his work in education. His work on that Board allowed him to observe best practices in over 120 Episcopal schools in the southwest. Mr. Brown has three children two of whom are in college.
